Hey, did you know today is an international
holiday? Probably not, because it’s not like it’s all over everything or
anything like that.
In that case, today is Valentine’s Day, and we
celebrate this cheesy, Hallmark day. Because why?? Because it’s about love. And
conversation hearts. And love. And chocolate. All good things.
So with that articulate and exorbitantly
well-versed introduction, I give you 3 reasons why we’re celebrating Love Fest
2013 today. Because, who doesn’t love lists?
1.
Because we’re married. And when you’re
married, you have to work really hard to enjoy being married. Part of that
means celebrating everything (to us anyways). And, as a result, we love being
married.

2.
Because on this day, three years ago, I
went up to an old friend and asked if I could sit with him at church. I’d just
been through a terrible break up, and needed someone to sit with on Sundays.
Now, I’m married to that dude. So, this day is kind of a big deal to us.

3.
Because in some respect, no matter what
your relationship status (thank you Facebook, for making that a thing) or level
of pessimism, it’s sometimes awesome to embrace the cheesy, corny things and enjoy
them like you did when you were 10.
Enter: conversation hearts.
Be mine?
